This last weekend - aside from the cold, rainy Saturday - was lovely. We took a drive on Sunday around Lake Ontario, and dreamed of the days to come that we can swim in the water.
The kids had a blast at one part of the drive where the waves crashed onto the street.
I was able to finish a knitting project and start a new one. The finished one is Gretel by Ysolda Teague.
Its knit with Sundara Aran Silky Merino in 'soft moss' and it was a dream to work with. Ysolda patterns + sundara asm = win. I will be knitting up more of Ysolda's patterns in the future.
I started a Featherweight cardigan and I am very please with how its coming along. I found the malabrigo lace at woolgirl when they had their sale - no way could I pass up a sweater worth of yarn for under $25!
I picked 'red java' which is a color I wouldn't normally go for in sweaters but I am liking it. I am about halfway through the increase rows... and not even halfway through one skein!
This week is all about planning and packing and loading as we are camping in Maine this weekend! Looking forward to trips to the beach, lobstah' rolls, strolling the Old Port, and eating ice cream in the park. It will be good times, indeed.
